As I have been doing more intensive things on the SmugMug servers (such as watermarking) there are times I do not know that it is done. So I have to go back and check if it is done. It would be nice if one could get an e-mail indicating that the process is done. I understand that some of these things might be difficult to know when it is "done" so perhaps this could be a check box on the uploader that says "email me when complete" which would let the user know that the files have been fully rendered. This is very similar to the Email ack idea I posted.
